Message Been working on these all day long now getting them nailed down just right. Quite a tight fit everywhere and challenging to get them spot on, but that just makes the success that much sweeter. :)

Tomorrow I will be flowtesting these compared to the stock pipes. We will also be fabbing up the accordion replacements to go with these babies and flowtesting the combination of accordion replacement and turbo inlet for both the stock pieces as well as these upgrade components.

Something I may be considering to do is see about using even larger diameter tubing from the filter area to the turbo inlets. Even though the volumetric flow of air through the charge pipes isn't dependent on the boost pressure you are running, as you increase the boost pressure, there is more and more air having to be drawn through the turbo inlets.

For example: at 14.5psi of boost pressure the gases are flowing twice as fast through the turbo inlet pipes as they are through the charge pipes downstream of the turbocharger.... We have seen the benefits of opening the charge pipes up from 2.0 to 2.5" in a volumetrically constrained part of the system, opening up the turbo inlet feeds should have a notable effect on spoolup, power/torque production as well. There are some limitations with the size you can fit though and would require some modification to the unibody under the headlamps where those pipes pass through. Additionally, some ovaling of the pipes would be necessary to fit between the top edge of the framing rails and headlamp buckets. Not impossible, just a little bit of a challenge though.

We'll get the flowtest data for these to start and see how they perform, then move forward from there to see where this part of the induction system can be further improved.

So, here's the pics of the first prototype set:
